Sitemap.php - index not showing updated timestamp

Post by jsw_nz »

Hi Guys

Could not find the answer to this doing basic search so wanted to ask:

the sitemap.php (version 1.4.5) - does not OUTPUT and REARRANGE order with new change/ timestamp made to homepage
- I plan to resubmit for Google indexing - wanted to be sure that the 'last updated' criteria' works

see the output here:
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/ 2012-04-24
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/index.php 2012-04-24
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/sitemap.php

those dates should reflect today's date -- hmm.....
how can I get the index to be at the top of the list - without hacking??

kind regards,
john in nz

Did you empty your browser's cache? Is there any caching server around?
I get a lot of 2013-6-11 dates... so it seems to be ok...
It's mostly all about maintaining two or three customer's sites Still supporter for the band Mykket Morton. Visit Mykket Morton on FB. Listen Mykket Morton and live videos on youtube.
Now building a venue for young artists to get wet on stage, rehearsal rooms, a studio, a guitar shop - yes I'm going to build some guitars.

Hi Claus

yes did clear cache - no joy - and yes some of the newer pages show up correctly
- but changes made to homepage do not -

see the output here:
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/ 2012-04-24
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/index.php 2012-04-24

not sure what to do... need to have this showing updated timestamp
Perhaps Oliver has an idea

Ok, now I can see the problem...
is there any redirection?

Hi Claus

Yes that page:
http://www.calderstewart.co.nz/index.php?home-page 2013-06-11
is new (created new alias) but the main website URL does not reflect that change - still 2012-04-24

maybe I will do manually
- i want the main domain itself to reflect it is new to Google indexing

cheers
