Spaw is no longer included in the new CMS version. I think this editor is no longer being developed.
Alternatively, the CK editor can be used.

Is this the same problem. When I try to add or edit a link or add or edit a photo in an article the browser crashes, IE9, and the only choice is to close the browser.

Firefox and Chrome work fine.

Update the core component — IE9 is newer than the older WYSIWYG components has built-in browser support. SPAW2 should not used any longer.

Maybe check also that you have no additional blocking script in IE9 activated.

Thanks. I have noticed that the same problem is occuring with FCEditor in phpwcms 1.5.2. Is there any editor that can be substituted that will work? Again, Firefox and Chrome are fine.

CKeditor is the preferred editor at the moment. But the better solution is to use a browser that meets standards.
