New Server / Admin Login stop working ... (Researched!!!)

Installed version is: 1.4.1, suggesting in should run this:

Database Update in r319/344/345/348 → /setup/update_sql/22__1.4_to_1.5.sql

... via setup?

Should I upload the latest code first?

just try to run the sql file in phpmyadmin .... or setup as well.

in first solution you might have a better view for problems

The only database update for 1.4.1 to 1.4.6 is "/setup/update_sql/22__1.4_to_1.5.sql"

OK, so I took version r398 and uploaded over the top of the current install and ran setup again, and ran the last 3 .sql upgrade scripts.

The version is now:

$phpwcms["release"] = '1.4.5';
$phpwcms["release_date"] = '2010/02/08';
$phpwcms["revision"] = '398';

.. but login still does not work.

I am now convinced there IS some redirect issue as there are no "login errors" reported when I enter the username and password, but if I knowingly enter it wrong, there ARE "login errors".

Research continues ....

Update: all sites were moved back to their legacy servers and access has been restored. It IS a refresh issue as authentication is successful using the same credentials as before.
I will look again at this issue in the future when I have less project work on.

Alas, at the mo, it remains unsolved.
