Have you been able to compare Google Page Speed with YSlow from Yahoo? (http://developer.yahoo.com/yslow/)
I am quite happy with YSlow, but if Google Page Speed offers some nice benefits I might make the switch.

Post in English
I know I am being a pain again about this, but if you would have posted your message in English you would have had a much larger audience and a bigger chance of receiving valuable help... I really cannot understand your question  Remember that by posting your message in English you are turnin...

@ cyber-james: Please accept my apologies for the rude language. I was just not having a good day... I think that the fact you thought that your message was not important, does not justify you writing in German. Non-German speakers cannot understand that the message was not important and might get a...

Off-topic
Sorry to get off-topic here, but while waiting for new features I notice that this forum is more and more alienating from the non-German speaking community. I remember a thread with some very nice promises about stopping this destructive behavior but it seems that you just don’t give a f*ck w...

Of course mixed topics are not a problem for Cyber-James as he understands both languages, but they are a huge problem for all people who do not understand German! But well, I give up. Tried to make my point, but don't seem to get through. Even my lame attempt for being funny failed miserably. Pun i...

Oh my god! Why is it so hard for you guys to understand that by switching in this thread to German you are shutting out a lot of people from this discussion :x I already gave the example of the redaxo cms which is completely in German (including the forum). Just go and have a look at that forum, cou...

I don't think deleting old messages is a good idea. It's way to difficult to set the criteria for which messages can stay and which should be deleted. It would be a shame to delete anything that could be useful for someone in the future. Although I think everything on this forum should be in english...

Funny that you started a topic about this frold, I was just thinking the same thing. As I am dutch I can understand written german reasonably well, but I do get a bit irritated about the german language posts on this forum. English is much more accessible for lots of people and it gives the forum a ...

I don't think a windows server is an option for hosting PHPWCMS sites. Windows server are usually much more expensive and I have never seen any commercial offers with apache installed. When choosing a Windows server, this is mostly to use asp(.net) and therefore IIS is needed. IIS and PHPWCMS is not...

I made my own stylesheet, and therefore I did not have an entry for .articleText yet.
So all I did was to add the following to my stylesheet:
(Make sure that the content part on the page is Text /image and that the summary is empty, this worked with me)
So all I did was to add the following to my stylesheet:
Code: Select all

Okay, I found out why the trick worked on the 'Welcome' page and not on the 'Profile' page. This was because the 'Welcome' page was a 'Text w/image' content part and the 'Profile' page was a 'Wysiwyg html' content part. I changed this to 'Text w/image' and now the white space is gone. Changing conf....

Thanks for the tip! It has solved the 'problem' on the welcome-page but (very strange) on the profile page it didn't :? I have tried to find any differences in the setup of the page, but I have not yet found out what the difference between these pages is. I am sure that I will find out though sooner...
