I only have a clickable caption under the images which ia only half as nice.

I would risk an opinion that 15% to 30% as nice. :D

Though in your case it's perhaps really not so enormous difference. but imagine putting on the front page a BIG, beautiful ebook cover, which EVERYBODY will ...

There's now lots of useful formats for articles but one very important is still missing: "Image(s) with link"!

It's not the same thing as with plain HTML pages, for here the structure is much more complicated, so the URL's for both the link and the image are much harder to find, isn't it so ...

Where do I put those extra/alternative functions and stuff (hacks, MOD's etc.), and how should this file be named? (I mean - before the .php bit.)

Another thing: there's no info about them 'hacks' to be found in one place, or is it? Perhaps this would be something that should be done?

1. menu items that have children without any "attached" pages - now it's slighly crazy when you're using multi-level menu structure 'cause you've got a dummy page for every menu item with child;

2. more powerful stuff for templates:

It is under development. I wrote new replacement tag {SELECTED:x} which alows to display selected article in selected section of template. Form (not working) and Search are from different (hidden) pages.

But I simply can't display any images from templates. Many times I looked with FTP client where they are located on the server. I uploaded them to various newly-created directories, they are there, but still nothing works... They just don't ...

hmmm,
i think the solution how it's now is good und elegance. so if you want to show 2 articles full use the summary for the whole article!*smile* and if that not enough use contentparts and at the end of the article you seperate them with an line.

Well, such ideas obviously occurred to me ...

I'm not quite sure this automatic decision by the phpWCMS that you can't have more than one articles ona shown in full on one page, is the best solution.

OK, it may well be what you want most often. Still it shouldn't be so difficult to let the user decide for himself. And it would be much better ...

The ads seemed to be the only thing slowing things down to me. I have never noticed any speed issues personally.

Well, you have been TOTALLY RIGHT! I've removed those stupid banners and now phpWCMS runs like... whatever. (I still can't understand how those two Polish banners could slow the WHOLE ...

But have you tried to use the menu and change the pages? The ads I can remove, no problem.
