is anyone out there that can give me a hint on how I might be able to install ImageMagick (or the GD2-lib) without shell access on a shared server...or is that impossible? My customer's provider only offers GD 1.6.2 and no pre-installed Imagemagick.

Since the day Oliver released RC3 I am anticipating the installation, but since I altered some code in my RC2 installation and I have to finish the project by tomorrow I am not sure if I should install it already for this running project (but I will surely use it for future projects)...

No, I didn't get any error messages. I uploaded the file via FTP Takeover. Everything worked fine.
