Visual Backend User's Guide - need your help!
Hello folks, I am currently preparing a visual Backend User's Guide – as I already announced in an earlier thread: http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1752 I work on an Apple Macintosh thus I can't make a screenshot of the WYSIWYG HTML Editor. Can anyone support me with one? I am writing the...

@Oliver: Sorry, I didn't want to push you. I am just eager to get this started. Can you send a short info message through the phpWCMS mailing list once you have those templates out, so I don't overlook them? @Marko: Yes, I would also be happy to see that the documentation to phpWCMS is as thorough a...

Okay, Oliver has stated his opinion - so, we are back to these questions: 1. What are the rules for creating documentation? 2. Can we support you, Oliver, in creating the templates, so we can start writing documentation soon? 3. How is the documentation site administrated? Let's get the documentatio...

I agree to webwesen. The only thing with wikis is that it's not possible to administrate and thus keep control over quality and clarity. On the other hand it's the quickest and easiest way to collect help for users. However, I think, additionally there should be some conventional documentation like ...

Interesting idea, jmeyknecht, but I agree with Oliver that it should be as simple as opening a standard text editor for the folks who want to write some documentation otherwise the base for contributing documents will be too small. So, let's think about what rules should apply for people who want to...

Great! What could be the rules? Clear language, keep it short and simple, screenshots should only show what is necessary (not the entire screen) and so on? A template sounds good. I think, submission should be in either of these formats: RTF/RTFD, SXW and/or PDF. I could offer PDF conversion for tho...
