Hi Oliver, no, I don't have a Mac (unfortunately). ;) I created the swf with Flash 8 (exported in different swf versions), but nothing helped. I do agree that including multimedia into a website isn't easy, especially through a cms. I didn't want to include Real or Windows Media, but a quicktime mov...

Hi Oliver, what does it mean "newer releases have solved that problem"? Isn't 1.3.3 the latest release? Or does it mean, that any of your "newer" developer version has fixed it and will be released in a later version? Your workaround mentioned in http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewt...

some strange problems with content part multimedia

Hi out there, I know, it was discussed here sometimes (or maybe tried to), but I haven't found a satisfying result in the forum yet, so I start another thread (sorry guys, for whom I will bore). When I try to use the multimedia content part to enclose a flash swf file to a site, a blank space will b...

Hi, sorry for late response. I solved the problem on a little different way. It seems, that the php command mysql_connect expects to connect through the standard socket (/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock) on my server, no matter which port I set. So, I did my workaround by setting the server connection sett...

Hi Oliver, is it also possible with the Version 1.2.8 of phpwcms? If I edit the conf.inc.php to $phpwcms['db_host'] = 'localhost:43306'; The connections seems only happen through the MySQL5 server. If I turn the MySQL5 server off, a "no db" error occurs. :( The status of the MySQL4 server ...

Hello Juergen, seems to be a good hint but why to make it so complex? I know that 3306 is the stanard port of MySQL and it works. But I will use a different MySQL version (for testing purpose) and why to 'create' a new IP if I only want to use a different connection port? On my testing system at hom...

Installation with non-standard MySQL port

Hi out there, I've a little tricky problem. I want to install phpwcms on a server where are different MySQL versions installed on it. Because of that the different versions are accessible through different ports. So I've tried to give the setup the location of the MySQL server like localhost:43306 (...

errors with download/display pdf

hi out there, dear community. i think, i was a little bit too hasty with my reply on seedy's problem with firefox 2.0 and his download problems. (http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13199) i made some tests and hope that anyone can comprehend these results... and hopefully have a helping sug...

Hi Sebby, have you tried to change the setting to $phpwcms['inline_download'] = 0 in the config/phpwcms/conf.inc.php file? Seems, that the Firefox 2 will not work properly with inline pdf. :( It worked for me.. Further explanations: http://www.phpwcms.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10691&highlight=pdf...

Hi Knut,

Now I found the reason for my problem. I created an article with the admin user by fault and now the editor cannot change the order of the content parts. BUT: this will not work, even if I change the article owner to the editor. But with my understanding this has to work then, hasn't it? Oliver? Any...
