thanks. As this is my first touch with the cms, should I move back to 1.2.5 if there are other parts of it that could behave strange?

For example, I'm not sure if this is in 1.2.6 only, but while I was looking at the "custom" field at the "frontend ...

in the 1.2.6-DEV (phpwcms_dev_1.2.6_14.12.2005.zip) - the admin HTML when adding "file list pro" is broken at the bottom - the last option and buttons are displaced.

did you take a look at the docu page ;-)

yup, found one at phpwcms.de - it's for V1.1-RC4 and for example there are missing the two things I asked in the Support forum here...

I noticed your site but a lot of the info there is in German but I know just 10 words in German...

on the admin section, when you click on an article name a new window is opened with the article page preview. It would be helpful if on these pages you cathc ...
