I'm a bit confused and need some help! All I want is to have a very simple site structure like this:

Homepage - Page1 - Page2 - Page 3

In other words I have no plans for any "sub pages", just a handful of pages all on the same "category/level". The problem is I can't seem to work out how to have ...

I'm beta testing Shiny's WCMSBlog module and he recently recommended adding a XHTML DOCTYPE by way of a temporary fix for an IE/moo.fx bug.

I will keep an eye on it and make sure it's definitely working over the weekend. If it doesn't work then I'll have to do what Kosse suggests and make a seperate CSS file for IE.

Thanks Kosse - that CSS you highlighted is a fix I took straight out of a CSS book I own. It's meant to trick FF and IE to display the correct widths. Are you suggesting that this hack is the problem? Or are you being more general and saying it is something to do with the entire #left CSS style that ...

I hope this is the right place to post this question:

On my newly created website (still being developed so don't laugh!) I notice that sometimes the left box doesn't display.

What seems to happen is this:
1) I surf to my home page.
2) The home page downloads and images and text ...

I overwrote my content.func.inc.php file with an old one which didn't include the SHOW_CONTENT function so no wonder it didn't work!

On the plus side I did so much deleting/tweaking/re-installing that I now know phpwcms, SHOW_CONTENT, GT and Gallery mods a LOT better!

Actually, I worked around the problem. The file center works fine for "normal" JPGs and GIFs but just not these thin and long GIFs. So I worked around the problem by NOT ...

I don't know what you mean "check filesizes". What should I be checking for? The GIFs are tiny - around 800bytes! Is this too small??

By the way - lots of "normal sized" JPGs and GIFs work, just these really thin (2px) and long (200px and over) GIFs don't.

Any idea why it would allow me to upload a 199x2 pixel GIF but cause errors with a 260x2 pixel GIF? I tried it again with a 216x2 pixel GIF and that caused an error too.
