The main reason is that we just can't get the newsletter to work. I dont maintain the site but the person who does struggles with the back end finding it not very intuitive.

After evaluating a number of CMSs, based on both the back and front ends we have decided to move to CMS Made Simple

No version number.

I can only assume this means a really old version.

I added "$phpwcms['version_check'] = 1;" to the config ...

But I am working with an old install that I had nothing to do with. Changelog.txt isn't there so I need to try to discover the version from within the software itself.

Any ideas?

This is actually a good point that the version number should be included somewhere in the code.

I oversee an install of PHPWCMS though don't manage it. It is dated copyright 2003 - 2005 so it looks way old. Where do I find the version number?

I don't see any info on upgrading and the best way to do it without destroying the database, is it anywhere?

Have phpwcms installed, but despite being quite proficient at PHP I haven't spent a lot of time on phpwcms.

Like others the site is getting mail form spam.

I have some PHP code that asks for the answer to a simple sum (e.g. 2 + 5) to test for humans.

But, when I then move the Left Column article to the top of the list of index articles in the article ...
