Yeah I know. But we needed to go live quickly, I had experience with the 1.1 version, so we decided to go ahead with that. But, point taken: we will move to the latest version asap!

Thanks, Hans

Incredible. I am looking for a solution for days, and finally decided to call in the help of the phpwcms forum. And, 5 minutes later, I found the solution.

This is the cause:
phpwcms wasn't able to create a thumbnail.
But, strangely enough, it didn't show an error message! That's what confused ...

File Center uploaded files not selectable in articles

Hi all,

I have a problem on our website: files uploaded to the server using File Center, cannot be selected in articles. In an article I *can* see the name of the file, but I can't see the thumbnail and can't use it.

Strange thing is, one picture that I've uploaded a few months ago (when I was ...

Browse in just one level

I am looking for a way to use the {BROWSE:NEXT and {BROWSE:PREV tags to browse in just one level only. At this moment, the {BROWSE:NEXT just continues browsing, even if it is the last article in a category.

You can have a look at the current behaviour on my site: http://www.oetsikoetsi.nl/cms ...

OK -- found it out: you can set it in the page layout, at the 'set to title' option.

Again... templates vs. page layout regarding page height

Hi all

I have a simple website on which I want to display a watermark graphic in the background. That graphic is about 300px high.

When I set the height of the main section in the page layout to a height of 545, that height is not respected. In stead, IE displays the page as high as the text. If ...

How to enhance the page title

Hi

I looking for a way to enhance the auto-generated page title. That title is used as a name when the user bookmarks the page. Due to the setup of our website, the bookmark name is way too long and has repeating words in it (as category name and title of category, and article name are often the ...

How to achieve index.php?contact

Hi all,

Browsing through the phpwcms example websites ('sites you are proud of' category on this forum) I sometimes see that the links to 'Site map' and 'contact' sometimes look like this: index.php?sitemap and index.php?contact

How can I achieve that?

I am especially looking for a way to ...

The problem was probably that I was missing some software to connect to MySQL from PHP. Downloading and installing XAMPP solved the problem: it worked directly, out of the box!

You can download it from apachefriends.org

Your site really looks good... How did you manage to get the white color for the selected category? That's something I want too but I did not manage to achieve it yet.

Yes I would be curious to see them... I have posted mine in my other post.

Anyway, this is a good CSS resource if you need that: http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/css/

I agree with you on that point. Although I still find phpWCMS currently the best CMS I used (which enabled me to get my site live with a fairly OK color scheme etc within days in stead of weeks or months) one of the questions I still have is: how are templates and generic layout related to each ...
