Yeah that helped, infact since both are on the ame server (differnet domains) all I pretty much had to do was change the DB name, password and site name

I have set up a wcms website a while back and now I am transfering it to a new server with a new design and all.

The only thing I need to transfer to the new site are the articles from the old site and since there are over 100 articles I would really like to transfer them the "easy way ...

Well is there any way I could trick it to posting imediately?

For some reason when I post articles they do not show up on the front end but are listed and editable on the back end, and yes I have made sure they are viewable but for some reason they do not show up on the front end until a specific time, usually around 11pm. I suspect there is a timer in ...

Ok so ill back up everything

upload the setup folder and run upgrade.php

and then everything should be fine?

that is the current version im running.

Release 1.1-RC4 22-06-2004

but when I look in the folder I dont have the setup.php file
is this something I put up with the new version?

Well i am runing the pervious version of
phpwcms_1.1-RC4_2004-08-27

So lets see if I have got this right...

I back up everything
run setup.php on the new version
upload the following files:
conf.inc.php
frontend.css
conf.template_default.inc.php
startup.html ...

Can someone please tell me the short way of updating my files without loosing site sructure or content in lamens terms, with some amount of detail so i can finaly get this done.
