Hi,

A few days ago my hosting provider moved my space to another server, and I got that "dbdown.php" thing. I solved the issue by adding % to the host list with CPanel. I believe that MySQL server moved to a different IP.

It's not easy to start, but all you need is a litle push to make things clear. I'm not the right man for that, but maybe Pappnase can give you some hints. Meanwhile try the "Tutorials & Documentation" forum.

I'm using phpWCMS and I like it. It's very easy to understand and the community if very helpful (part of the info is in german, tho...)
I think you can do what you need with this cms.

But you should take a look at Mambo too: it has all you are looking for (even a game clan module ...

1. databases are not populated with files, but with tables

A few advices:
1. Ask nicely
2. Don't try to make a dynamic web page whithout studying a few thing first ...

It seems an alpha version, and I believe phpWCMS is better, but...I also believe that it's targeted for an international comunity, and phpWCMS is not

Maybe a litle dated, but I like the simplicity.
One of the best phpWCMS templates I ever saw.

PS: with opera I see a litle white right margin in the top dropdown menu. Just to let you know if it isn't on purpose

Yes, phpwcms is great. No doubts about that.
